GRAND RAPIDS, MI - One-third of the homes sold in Kent County during the first three months of this year were subject to foreclosures or pre-foreclosure activity, according to RealtyTrac, a California firm that follows foreclosure activity.
Those 799 transactions are good news for a local housing market in which one of every 565 homes was in foreclosure, said Tom Paarlberg, president of the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors.
