2012 Member Awards & Recognitions

2012 GRAR Annual Installation & Awards Ceremony

Each December, the Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS^® hosts a special Annual Installation & Awards Ceremony during which, in addition to the incoming President and Board of Directors being installed, those members whose achievements have gone above and beyond the standard are given special recognition.

The categories of recognition range from Outstanding Achievement of a Committee or Task Force to an award for REALTOR^® of the Year. The criteria to be eligible for one of these awards are many, with members nominating those whom they feel meet the standard. Award winners are revealed at the end of the ceremony, which takes place at Frederik Meijer Gardens on what always seems to be a perfectly snow-capped morning. Luckily, for the 2012 ceremony, we had clear weather and a great turn out!

REALTOR^®-EMERITUS
REALTOR^®-Emeritus status is presently granted to REALTOR^® members who have held membership in NAR for a cumulative period of forty (40) years. NAR, MAR, and GRAR dues are waived for REALTOR^®-Emeritus members. This status differs from Life Membership by virtue of the fact that these members continue to be actively engaged in listing and selling real estate.

2012 LIFE MEMBER
Life Members have been members of the Association for 20 years, are over the age of 60, and are no longer actively selling real estate. Life membership allows these pillars of the real estate community to continue to participate in events and keep up to date with Association news.
