Dynamic seminars and courses are offered frequently and cost-effectively. Most meet the continuing education requirements of the Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Seminars - Throughout each year various educational, industry related seminars are conducted at the Association office. You can hear the latest about mortgage investments, legal survival, tax law, agency, ethics, residential construction, commercial updates and more.
Computer Classes - At least twice a month, a variety of computer classes are available to the members. Classes designed for the new computer user, as well as for the experienced computer operator are offered to the members.
Pre-Licensing & Continuing Education - Classes for pre-licensing and continuing education in real estate are conducted approximately every 4-6 weeks at various greater Grand Rapids locations. The Association maintains current information on both the private and public schools that offer approved, prelicensing and continuing education training. The continuing education classes are designed to meet the continuing education requirement of the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Comprehension Test - Persons desiring GRAR membership will be required to successfully complete a Comprehension Test via the computer. This format focuses on self-study and utilizes an open book test. Students learn about issues such as complying with the Code of Ethics, application of fair housing laws, the operation and procedures of the MLS and antitrust laws.
