The residents of Belknap Lookout take pride in their great parks, safe streets and beautiful views.  It has more parks than any other neighborhood.   Part of the neighborhood is constructed on a high plateau above Michigan Street and Division Avenue, featuring spectacular views of the city.   A prominent feature of the community is the Michigan Street “Medical Mile,” which has brought easily accessible health care and more jobs to Belknap.  The community of Newberry Place is an urban cohousing community of privately-owned homes and sustainable neighborhood features.  It affords its residents easy access to all of the amenities the city has to offer and fosters strong relationships among neighbors, while also creating shared and private green spaces.
