Team Issues Task Force

More and more real estate firms are adopting a business model that enables real estate licensees to work in a team environment where agents are placed in defined positions with specific roles and responsibilities that capitalize upon their individual skills (i.e. marketing, lead generation, client communication, showings, open houses, etc.). In most cases, there is a team leader that is the public “face” of the team, the team has its own unique logo/branding system, and the team essentially operates as a “mini-company” within the real estate firm.

Although there are many benefits to the team model, it does raise a number of questions related to the Michigan Occupational Code, the Code of Ethics, and the MLS Rules & Regulations.  It is the function of the Team Issues Task Force to consider those issues and offer recommendations where appropriate.
